Can anyone offer guidance?

So, I’m a first year who took ten courses this year and my gpa is 3.3 currently as an international student and that’s my best 8 courses, for my total it’s 3.0.

This has me really scared because it seems I need a 3.7 to even be competitive. Has anyone else gotten in with a similar gpa?

I’m gonna meet an Eng academic advisor because I fear I am beyond cooked.
