I don’t know if this has ever been explained and maybe I’ve just never heard it, but one thing that really bothers me about the acotar books is the aging inconsistencies. In the first book the nephews of Alice are 80ish years old, but are still considered children. It is mentioned multiple times that fairies and fae age slower, however in book 2 I feel that is all just thrown out the window. Mor is said to have gotten her period at 17ish, which is not abnormal for humans. Rhys’ mother held her period off by starving herself and taking herbs and is said to have gotten it late, around 18. If that is considered late it means other fairies got it around the same time humans get theirs. Not to mention Cassian, Azriel, Rhys & Mor were doing some very adult activities at 18-20, which, if going by the first book’s logic, would be VERY inappropriate.
