I am thinking about turning the mirror like polished stainless steel finish of a coffee machine (first picture) to a brushed stainless steel finish (second picture). I know its a matter of taste and many may say just leave it like that, but I would still like to explore the option(s).

Do you think it is possible to achieve that change manullay with just some sanding fleece and pressure applied evenly in the same direction? Or would I need an electric tool with the fleece on a roller?
