Haridwar, Rishikesh and Nainital
Hi everyone!
My family and I are planning a 4 nights trip covering Haridwar, Rishikesh and Nainital around the end of May, and I wanted some advice from people who have already done this route.
We are looking for a trip that is more relaxing and scenic rather than super hectic. We don’t mind some sightseeing, cafés, boating, temples, etc., but we also don’t want to spend the entire trip stuck in traffic or constantly changing hotels.
Current rough idea:
- Haridwar (Ganga Aarti)
- Rishikesh (cafés + sightseeing)
- Nainital (lake + hill station stay)
A few questions:
Is 4 nights enough for these 3 places?
What would be the best split of nights?
Should we stay separately in Haridwar and Rishikesh or choose only one?
Is the travel from Rishikesh to Nainital too tiring?
Any less crowded alternatives nearby?
Hotel area recommendations for families?
We’ll most likely be travelling from Kolkata.
Would really appreciate itinerary suggestions, travel tips, realistic travel times, and things to avoid during peak summer rush. Thanks!
