Do not buy direct from the manufacturer
Learn from my mistake. Buy from Microcenter and get a warranty. They aren’t able to work on them per their agreement with Bambu and will just give you a new machine. Unfortunately for me I bought direct from the manufacturer and am now on month 4 of ongoing ticket for one issue after another. My friend bought at the same time as me but at Microcenter and has switched her machine out twice, even upgrading it to better machine.
Edit to add I have a Bambu a1. It’s needed a new x belt, hot end assembly, list goes on.
A1 On this same ticket:
-Broken tensioning device on the x axis assembly -Completely immovable screw behind tool head preventing replacement of the x belt (they say this is quite rare) -Replace toolhead block (instructions included to “violently break” the old block) -Filament cutter error (determined to be a fault with the filament head sensor) *At this point I was mailed a blood pressure cuff instead of the extruder filament sensor -replace extruder filament sensor -> print extra thin spaghetti -nozzle bracket breaks so they send me a link to purchase a new hot end assembly
• install hot end assembly -> error on x belt tension
Most confusingly it has successfully printed a handful of test prints during this time.
