Hello everyone! I am a 24 year old US citizen who is considering applying for the under 30 work and holiday visa with my partner. Our plan would be to move to Tasmania in October- do a work for accommodation situation while there for a month and then go to Perth where we would get a vehicle. I was considering doing about 3 months in each spot while working our way counter clock wise around Australia. We plan on doing random jobs such as farming, hospitality, etc. A few questions-
Do Australians enjoy having Americans come on visas or is it looked upon negatively?
We considered living in a van so we would be more flexible and not have to gather things for an apartment and then have to keep moving it. Is a 4x4 more recommended and then just deal with finding living situations? Is it gonna be unbearable to live in a van due to the heat?
To continue speaking about heat, I've read it can be pretty unbearable at times during the peak summer months- would anyone suggest staying away from certain places in certain times of the year due to this?
Any advice is welcome, thanks for taking the time to read all of this.
