Did I overpay for prescription Ray-Ban sunglasses at LensCrafters?

Did I overpay for prescription Ray-Ban sunglasses at LensCrafters?

I just bought my first prescription sunglasses in the U.S. and wanted to see if this was a reasonable deal or if I overpaid.

Here’s what I got at LensCrafters:
Ray-Ban New Wayfarer (RB2132)
Single vision prescription sunglasses
1.67 high index lenses
Polarized G-15 lenses
Backside AR coating
UV + scratch resistant coating
1-year protection plan

Price breakdown:
Frame: originally $178 → $104 after insurance
Lenses: originally ~$567 → ~$291 after insurance
Protection plan: $35
Total: $430
Insurance covered: $112

Final out-of-pocket: about $318
I checked online afterward and saw similar Ray-Ban prescription sunglasses for around $440 online, so now I’m wondering if this was actually a decent purchase or if LensCrafters is still overpriced even with insurance.

For people who wear prescription sunglasses regularly:
Was this a fair price for polarized/high-index Ray-Ban lenses?
Is the LensCrafters quality/service worth paying extra for?
Would Costco/online retailers have been significantly cheaper for a similar setup?

Would appreciate honest opinions since I’m still learning how U.S. vision pricing works 😅
