I have 18 tattoos, mostly on my arms and a couple on my legs. The most painful spots for me have been the back of my calf, especially toward the knee pit and the elbow ditch. Both were manageable, I didn’t need to take breaks for either. How does rib tattoos compare to these places?

I’ve avoided tattooing my ribs so far because I constantly hear how painful it is, so I’m unsure if I’d find it manageable even though I’ve never tapped out. Any insights would be appreciated! ❤️

The design (attached pic) doesn’t seem too big or detailed, it’ll be shaded with dot work. But since I’ve never been tattooed there so I don’t know what to expect.
