My dad was given this ring when he was a teenager. It belonged to his grandfather, so it’s potentially from the 20s. My dad believes it was bought in Pittsburgh.
It originally had a diamond, and after that fell out it was replaced with a black sapphire. No hallmarks.

I’m just curious about the style and what the design is. It looks like a naked lady or a mermaid on the side?
