I recently became a US citizen (November 2025), applied for my passport, and also for my 10-year-old daughter, who automatically obtained citizenship through me. However, this year I decided to apply for the N-600 so she could obtain the certificate (for her future records).

I applied on March 15, and yesterday received mail requesting biometric collection for May 5. Is it common for minors to have biometrics taken? Will she also have an oath ceremony scheduled? Has someone been through a similar experience with their child?
