read this in 2nd grade and it was so cute! the girl ends up moving and gets really bad poison ivy while she’s out in the woods and meets a dog. they’re both pretty skeptical about each other but form a really cute bond at the end. the cover was all black with a sandy colored dog who was reminiscent of a german shepard. i think the title was something like “lost!” maybe?
