2017 2.5 SE; Sometimes cannot shift car back into park after driving

When I first got this car I had intermittent issues shifting the car into park, and I found the shift cable bushing was gone. Replaced bushing and problem seemed to be resolved.

Now about six months later every once in a while it is the same thing. I won't be able to shift into park. I'll put the car in neutral and shut it off and it will shift itself into park. I've never had an issue shifting out of park or into any other gear. The bushing and cover are still there; admittedly it is not an OEM part, I bought them off Amazon.

Is there another bushing on the shift motor in the passenger wheel well? Should I replace the bushing I already replaced again? I would think an interlock issue would cause issues coming out of park too, but I don't know.

I know there are a lot of posts of people replacing the front control arms on these cars, but I noticed just the bushings are available for purchase. Is replacing just the bushings a viable alternative, or is it not worth attempting?

If new control arms are indeed the way to go, has anyone tried the other brands rock auto offers like moog or dorman?
