Making friends
Hi, there’s probably a lot of these posts about making friends and I apologize for adding to that.
I’m 22 years old and I’d like to make more local friends, but I am pretty introverted. I feel like I don’t fit in most of the big social scenes in the area. I don’t really play games, I’m a homebody, my deafness with cochlear implants makes it hard for me to hear things in crowds or loud spaces which causes overwhelm, and I don’t drink. Since I dropped out of college and got a job where I work independently I don’t get a lot of social interaction. Some activities I see are usually things I can’t comfortably do so I end up stuck at home a lot.
Some things about me are that I like animals and have a dog I take to the beach, pet stores, and recently a dog park. I also love art; I do digital drawing, traditional art, and leather crafting. I also enjoy fantasy stuff and have my own worldbuilding with characters and such so I do have an imagination lol. I am very passionate about these things.
I do hang out on the Humboldt Discord server and will probably get recognized lol but I figured I’d reach out to see what’s out there for me. I am currently trying to get my art out there locally as well but god, I’m so socially awkward and nervous 😅
Anyways, anything will help, I’m open to mellow hangouts, anything artsy, or whatever clicks :)
