(chuckle) Alright kitty just give me a few minutes to finish up what I’m doing here and then I’ll come to cuddle and play ok?.... Thank you. [Writing Paper SFX for a few moments, Short Pause, Cloth SFX] H-hey what’d I just say you silly kitty, nooo don’t give me the cute eyes…
(Sigh) Fine, you can sit on my lap while I work. You’re lucky you’re a cutie. Now… please just sit there and let me work ok?.... Just writing up a report to my boss and signing some files. Yea it is pretty boring but it’s what I got to do kitty. (Chuckle) well the sooner I get this done the sooner we can get to the couch or bed and cuddle there….. Fine you can get some head scratches… you’re rather needy today aren’t you?.... [Head scratches/brushing sfx, Purring Sfx.] (Cooing) Such a cute kitty I have here. Precious little thing, my happy little sunshine~

Act all cute and cuddly to distract me from work you little trickster~ (chuckle) What am I gonna do with you?... who am I kidding, I enjoy your antics a bit too much… Yea you make my day a lot less gray, always happy to hold you, pet you and cuddle you… highlight of my day honestly. Mhmmm I’d be a little sad if there was ever a day you didn’t want to be around me. (rhetoric)... you always want to be around me?.... Awww you sweet little thing (A few cheek kisses)... (chuckle) sorry that was probably a bit much.
If you say it's fine kitty, I should get back to work now….. I know you just got cozy… mmmm fine five more minutes…. Hmmm how about we cuddle now and once you’re satisfied I go back to work alright?.... Glad thats agreeable. [Purring and head scratching SFX Stops. Cloth/pick up SFX. Walking SFX].. Well as cozy as you were on my lap, that chair’s not great for anything besides work… so I figured we’d move over to the couch instead. Oh don’t pretend you don’t like me carrying you kitty, You pretty much cling to me till I do most days.
(Chuckles) True I do enjoy it too, never said it was a bad thing. [Walking SFX Stops, Cloth SFX then Purring and brushing/petting SFX after a pause.] There we go kitty nice and cuddly on the couch. Good thing I got that blanket just for this. Hmmm?.... (Rhetoric) Stop stressing so much over work? [Scratching sfx stops Pause].... That obvious huh?... (Sigh) Thank you kitty and sorry for worrying you…. I just want to make sure you can live your best life here. And well keep a roof over our heads too. You’re right you’re right, we both need to be happy and that involves relaxing. I’m so happy you’re here kitty.
My cute fluffy companion who I get to cuddle and give scritchies… when you want them that is. Which thankfully for me is pretty often…. Awww look at that, pretty little kitty’s ready to nap already… No no that’s fine, it makes me happy you trust me enough to sleep so soundly in my arms… It’s also just calming hearing you breathe and purr away so contently… (Chuckle) You know what… you’re right, I think we’ve both earned a nap… those papers aren’t due till next week anyways… But I should get them done tomorrow… right right, tomorrow's issue.
[Purring continues, hair brushing/Scratches start again] I love you kitty, I treasure the kindness you bring into my day, the playfulness you add to my life… and the comfort you provide even when I don’t know I need it… Rest well my favourite Kitty…. (Chuckles) I’ll be right here when you wake up… maybe. I might decide to make us a snack… I knew you’d like that as a compromise.
