Hi all, I was looking for a project ski and came across a listing on marketplace for a 2002 Honda aquatrax f12X for $1200 AUD with a trailer. The seller’s description mentions that it cranks over well but doesn’t fire. He reckons it’s most likely a spark/fuel issue but hasn’t diagnosed it. The hull is in good condition and the trailer is ready to go.
The history is that it was his ski for a while, then sat for a year, he then took it out for a whole day and it ran just fine with a full tank of 98. He then got home and it stopped firing but turned over just fine. There’s the video of it cranking over which may or may not help add information about the condition. I’m thinking of taking a look and was wondering what you guys think I should check out and if it would be a worthwhile purchase if I can get it to maybe fire from starting fluid/confirm it’s just plugs ect?
EDIT: Forgot to mention that the fuel pump does whir and prime before cranking
