For years I’ve had recurring dreams about there being an extra room in my house, or a hidden area in my backyard with a big bird cage with a ton of birds and rabbits that get forgotten for an undetermined amount of time and they’re all dirty and starving by the time I remember them.

Sometimes I’ll also have dreams about forgetting my cat in one of these rooms, or my cat being replaced by an imposter while the real cat is left to starve in the abandoned room.

I’m sure it’s just a symbol of me feeling guilty over forgetting my responsibilities in the past but it’s always disturbing and I hate having them.
