For context, i am a 24 year old female.
For as long as i can remember, I have not been able to burp. I never cared when i was younger because it was only a mild annoyance to not be able to burp on command like everyone else >.< I have struggled with IBS since middle school and excruciating gas cramps are very common for me and if they aren’t severe, I am still passing an excessive amount of gas that I cannot seem to help. (Sometimes when the cramps are significant after eating, I also can feel the cramps deep in my right shoulder, what’s with that??) I get this SUPER STRANGE sensation after I eat where I can feel the gas rising up in my throat and chest, but instead of any burning sensation I have a weird groaning/half hiccup in my throat that is really uncomfortable. I’ve never really sought treatment for any issues relating to this because the frequency of passing gas/the groaning in my throat was never enough to cause me this much daily discomfort. Also I know it isn’t the symptoms of GERD ..right? I’m more than anything wanting some input on what might be happening and what to do about it. Thanks 🙏 in advance
