I’m scheduled to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted, which are all fully erupted. I’m wondering if CDCP covers wisdom teeth extractions?

So I had a consultation with an oral surgeon, that I was referred to by my orthodontist, and he quoted me $22k for double jaw surgery for my underbite. I live in Ontario and I’ve read that the surgery itself is covered by OHIP, but I guess I was so shocked at the price that I forgot to ask follow up questions like if that’s including surgeon’s fee, etc. Is this normal pricing? Is jaw surgery actually covered by OHIP or is it circumstantial?

I’m scheduled to get my wisdom teeth removed by the same surgeon in a few weeks so I could clarify with him then but just wanted to ask on here for some insight.
