1. Hi guys, let's start with the problem, the middle button of my G305 is not working but the scroll works perfect, it stopped working since the day before yesterday, when i was playing videogames it was nice but it just suddenly stopped working, at first i thought it was a bug of the game so i tried opening new tabs in youtube but didn't work, when i was researching about what problem could be i found a post in this same subreddit with the exact same problem and i already tried some possible solutions from the comment section but none of them worked.
These are the ones i have tried:
- Switching USB ports in my pc (OS W11)
- Using other computer (OS W10)
- Reinstalling Logitech G Hub
- Clening the "dust" (it didn't even had) and using a compressed air can
- Update firmware (it was already updated to 2026.2.861820)
- Closing G Hub with the Task manager
- Uninstalling mouse drivers from the Device Manager (Logitech Virtual G-HUB mouse)
- Hardly press the middle button
- Use isopropilic alcohol and a Q-tip to clean the button

When i opened the mouse i was expecting to find dust but it didn't have, i checked the middle button and at least physically everything looks good it also makes the "click" sound.

Right now im clueless, i don't know what to do and it's weird because I've had it for only 4-5 months, physically it doesn't seems defective, but the software solutions like uninstalling the drivers or G Hub didn't work.
I've been thinking in just let the time past to see if that magically fix it.
2. The Question. Is my mouse fake?
When i was trying to solve the button problem i had to watch a tutorial of how to disassembly it and i noticed that the inside of my mouse and the mouse of the guy in the video are different.

So im not sure if my mouse is fake, the reason of why im not sure is because the Logitech G Hub software recognizes the mouse and the model correctly.
If anyone can give new ideas to solve the middle button problem or answer my question i would really apprecite it.
PD: My english is not that good so if someone doesn't understand something please let me know and i'll try to explain it better.
