Hi everyone, London based filmmakers here.

My short film is almost done with its post production and looking to submit to film festivals here in UK. Some established film festivals ones and some lesser ones. Some I can definitely attend IF selected.

Wondering if anyone has any advice, tips on festival strategies. Thanks

Hey everyone,

London based filmmakers here. My short film is wrapping post-production this week and I’m starting to plan out a festival strategy.

A little about the short; Its a Period drama, set in the 13th Century England, Isle of Wight, based on a True Story of Isabella de Fortibus. Character Driven story.

There are a few Festivals I want to submit to in UK from established ones to some just starting out (maybe running for 5 years minimum).

This will be ready for TIFF submission too therefore, would like to submit to some established ones in North America.

I know its better to send to festivals where IF selected I can attend and meet with other filmmakers but also wondering IF this gets selected, and that is a BIG IF at TIFF, is it still worth it? Obviously would look great to say accepted at TIFF!

I have posters, stills etc ready.

Thanks!

Hi, I want to submit my short film to TIFF and the deadline is Friday 8th May. I'll be able to submit it with with 95% of the work done, fully edited, graded, music, end credits, vfx done, cleaner dialogue, audio levels balanced, etc. Just little of foley stuff that my foley artist might not be able to complete like footsteps, little sound effects here and there.

It's a period drama so wondering should I submit or leave it?
