I’ve got about a thousand 8th and 9th gen iPads deployed to students in a 1:1 edu program. Recently they’ve discovered I’m not storing job logs because the printers in each classroom doesn’t support it. All sorts of unnecessary and inappropriate for the age shit has been getting printed.
I’m trying to find a way to force print the device identifier at the bottom of each page like we can do on MacBooks. Right now the only option I see is Papercut NG or new network drops to hardwire print servers in each server closet.
Are there any other options? Cost isn’t very prohibitive and restricting printing to staff only would be a nightmare daily in classrooms. Primary issue printer is Brother HL-L2420DW which has absolutely zero job logging as far as I can tell.
