Hi everyone! I just graduated with baby girl yesterday! I got diagnosed at 28 weeks and was on 17 units of insulin for my fasting numbers.
Meal numbers were diet controlled with a few random spikes here and there.
We went in for our part 1 induction which was suppose to just the foley balloon and go home, but baby girl was having some minor decelerations during the NST they do prior to the balloon. So we were kept for the day! She was happy and active with only some small decelerations throughout the day. I was in labor for 12.5hrs and went from 5 to 10 in four hours and we gave birth at 9pm. With only 11 minutes of pushing she was born a nice happy 7lb 15oz and 20 inches long. She passed her first blood sugar with flying colors and has been a very hungry girl since birth.
I cannot thank this sub enough for how helpful and supportive everyone has been. Tomorrow I will be starting with a smoothie bowl, then a deli sandwich, then a whole raspberry rhubarb pie!
