Hello all, I'm looking to rent a mini starlink some time soon.
Context: I was recently from Siguijor and mobile data is very unreliable even if you're on the main road and in major towns (like San Juan)
I work remotely so it was a struggle. The only times I could get work done was in some hotels or cafes that offered starlink wifi.
By the way, I have both Globe and Smart so I switch, whichever works better, and sadly, both didn't get much signal. I would say Globe reception is a bit better.
In other places like Boracay or Siargao, I could move anywhere and anytime, then sit down somewhere and work with just my hotspot.
I will return in a few months to Siquijor. Is it worth it to get a rental? It seems like 1k per day on FB marketplace.
I saw on YT, need powerbank but I can only bring small ones on the plane. Also wondering about the plan? Does starlink only have a monthly plan?
Thoughts, please? Or if anyone can recommend a more portable option?
