Pill no longer stopping pain?
I am in my 40s now but have a very long history of endo. Before having my four children I had 2 laps with removal. I seem to have managed around 10 amazing pain free years whilst pregnant and then on the progesterone only pill. My pain used to hospitalise me at ovulation (pain for a week leading up to ovulation and a couple of days after). It was horrendous.
I’ve been on the progesterone only pill for 3 years approx and it’s been great - no pain, no periods. But now, my pain is back, although I still have no periods. I feel silly because I really did think the pill would “shut down” my endo for good and it was as easy as to just keep taking it. Now I’m researching and seeing that it can still worsen when on the pill and the pain return. Looks like that’s what is happening to me. Anyone else?
