Has anyone else purchased from Fast Growing Trees and had success dealing with their terrible customer service?
I ordered an Okame cherry (to go with my JMs I purchased from a reputable local source). But my Okame arrived with black shriveled leaves and no roots (they chopped the taproot to less than 6 inches and no supporting roots). It was not listed as a bare root sale but that’s what it was. The sale was listed as 5-6ft tree in a 5gal container. With the dead leader, it was maybe 3ft at where it passes a scratch test.
I spoke to someone from a call center and provided multiple pictures of evidence including the scratch test showing it was dead from 3ft up, and they lied and said that’s normal shipping stress. I literally started laughing because I thought they were joking. They refused to do anything and told me to wait another month and call back if it’s still dead LOL.
Has anyone actually gotten through to someone at that company who doesn’t lie and can actually help you? How, if so? Are there magic words I need to say?
Will rooting hormone do anything to help this poor stick have a chance at surviving? There are no flowering Cherry forums to post this to so thought there may be experienced folks here.
