So ive booked my flights and hotel for end of month visit to China. I hold a Pakistani passport with settled ILR status in the UK. Ive submitted my visa application and it got rejected for the reason that I need to apply in my home country? And was told the same thing over the phone

How does that make sense? Can someone guide me im being told alot of different information
