Anybody know of any mods that recreate the Mass Effect or Star Control 2 universe using X4?

I am new to the game and am looking to use a Overhaul Collextion of mods to maximize experience for my first playthrough and so I dont have to restart layer if I want to add mods. Currently I have x4 Rebirthed Mk2 as my collection but im wondering if its not enough or is too focused on increasing difficulty through realism rather than an expansion of sandbox "empire building" that I read somewhere its good at. Are there an suggestions for mod collections through nexus that are better that arent just star wars or lore breaking?
