Hiring a hands-on Principal Engineer to build and scale production AI/LLM systems (not research). You'll own the architecture, deployment, evaluation, and monitoring of GenAI at scale.

What you'll do:

  • Design end-to-end AI/ML platform (inference, RAG, eval pipelines, monitoring)
  • Set standards for model performance, safety, and observability
  • Lead decisions on LLM integration, guardrails, and cost/performance trade-offs
  • Work cross-functionally with Product + Engineering

What they want:

  • ~10+ years in software/AI/ML engineering
  • Strong experience shipping LLM systems in production (RAG, finetuning, eval, monitoring)
  • Python + frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.)
  • Cloud + Kubernetes + MLOps (CI/CD, telemetry, experimentation)
  • Experience with distributed systems and observability

Nice to have:

  • Tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker
  • Model governance, bias, and drift detection
  • NLP / agent systems / recommender systems background

Offer:

  • ~$250K base + equity (ESOP)
  • Fully remote (US only)
  • Flexible hours, strong PTO, global offsites

Positioning:
High-impact role shaping the AI platform of a serious GenAI company — focused on real production systems, not prototypes.
