The Archive has noted a shortage of records from the Living Realm. This is being addressed.

The Open Gates is a brand new 18+ original dark fantasy forum, and right now we’re looking to populate our Living Realm - the world caught between Hell and Heaven, full of people who are simply getting on with things, unaware that the world they’re getting on with is missing something it can’t quite name.

Every location tells a different kind of story:

Port Mara - a coastal town that smells of salt and fried food, where the fishermen don’t talk about what they’ve seen on the water and the islands on the horizon sit there like a question nobody has answered yet. For the quietly curious. For those who prefer their mysteries served with a sea breeze.

Solnox - a city large enough to feel anonymous, small enough that you keep seeing the same faces anyway. A clocktower with three faces that don’t agree on the time. The river Rith running through the middle of everything. For the urban, the complicated, the people who came here for a reason they’re not quite ready to name.

Clarwick - a university city where the folklore department occupies the oldest building on campus for good reason. For the academic, the curious, the ones who came to study something and found it studying them back.

Gweddill - a mountain village at the end of a hiking trail that takes longer to walk than the map suggests it should. For the ones who needed to get away from everything, and found something worth staying for waiting when they arrived.
