Hi there, I am a student at UW-Madison’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication. I am currently in an investigative reporting class, where each student needs to find one investigative/long-form story to work on throughout the semester. For my story, I have decided to focus on the impacts of the Dairy Drive encampment closing. One aspect of this story that has been challenging is finding someone who used to live on Dairy Drive, learning more about their perspective and experience of living there, and the effects post-closing.
