As the title states, I am 11 months post achilles repair with Haglund's deformity removal.
The past 6 weeks I have developed new swelling and a sort of bruise-looking area on the lateral aspect of my ankle. It doesn't take much for the swelling to act up.
Saw my surgeon today. Xray in office looked fine. He ordered me an MRI for next week. He said there are a couple different possible options:
- peroneal tendonitis, and possibly even a tear
- a vascular issue in which a vein is engorged and irritating the sural nerve
Anyone else have a similar experience?
