Hey everyone, I’m going through something and could use some advice. I’m 34, I don’t live in my home country anymore, but I’ve been visiting for a couple weeks. I used my mom’s car (which is actually her partner’s car) and returned it later than she wanted because of traffic. When I got back, she complained and then slapped me. I’m in shock. I’m an adult, and this feels absurd. I’m wondering if it’s time to step back or even cut contact. How do you decide that with family?
