Are these speakers worth trying?

I saw an ad for a pair of these on marketplace with the very helpful description of "Onkyo Tower Speakers" for around 70 USD (converted from local currency) for both.

I honestly love how they look. Planning to dedicate it to music via my CD player (HOTT C229) for an 18 sqm. room
Still looking for an amp to use it with if ever.
It is a 3 hour drive from where I live so my questions are:
Should I go for it? it seems like a steal in terms of cost.
Has anyone ever tried them? Are they any good for my use case?
Any budget friendly amp recommendations to pair with them?
