I have recently started watching Sailor Moon and currently in S2 Ep64. I reached the breaking point atp and need to rant about this. First of all, I heard she’s very strong and powerful and wanted to watch the series to see a nice strong female superhero. I REALLY love her character except for the bit where she doesn’t have self respect and is always pining for this Mamoru even though he acts cold and dismissive towards her(though he’s doing it for her “own good”). What kind of shitty direction is this to show the supposedly most powerful being of the universe to always need help from someone, especially almost always Tuxedo Mask or his alter egos. So frustrating! I wish to see at least once to see her fight after the powerful dialogue she gives every time before a battle, but ALWAYS first thing has to be her running away from villains’ attacks and needing help from other sailors or Tuxedo mask, but they almost never shows a scene where Tuxedo mask runs goofily and needing help from sailors or Usagi. Ughh. Just disappointing honestly
