Hi all,

I'm looking to pierce both my nostrils myself. I've never pierced myself before, but I've read that the nostril is relatively straightforward/hard to mess up. Any tips for those who have done it? I'm getting hollow 18g piercing needles from Amazon and 18g 8mm threadless flat back implant grade titanium jewelry (not purchased yet so open to suggestions).

How bad does it hurt? I just want to know what to expect, the only cartilage I've gotten pierced is my helix. I used to give it the ole slice and dice if you get what I mean so I am used to handling some amount of self inflicted pain but I still do consider myself to have a pretty low pain tolerance.
