I would honestly be surprised if this is a controversial take. The race, gender, ethnicity, religion, culture, ECT... Of a person that voices a fictional character should never matter in any form of media. I'm sure a lot of people are aware of the recent avatar movie in which the original vas were replaced. Same for proper reasons such as the original va did not care to reprise the role while others for less logical reasons such as to properly voice the characters, you must be able to relate to them in real life. The most prominent change was of course tophs va, how despite everyone loving the VA and she is still an excellent voice actress that wanted to maintain her role, she wasn't hired because they did not meet the diversity standard of being blind/disabled. As long as the VA does it good job it should not matter the identity of the person behind the character. A famous example of this is kratos. The person does an excellent job voicing them and I don't think it would ever make sense to change it just because kratos is Greek/white. Diana from pragmata and samurai jack both voiced by African American vas who did a good job The obvious thing to bring up of course is anime. Should all dubs be done by asians? please help me understand
