Preparing for first time Sheltie Pup
We are picking up our new family member, a Sheltie pup, in early June. Between us, my husband and I have owned/loved several dogs, but she will be our first Shetland Sheepdog (and first dog together). I’ve had Cavaliers, labs, a terrier/mini poodle mix, and I’ve co-parented a boxer. My partner has primarily had cocker spaniels & rough collies.
We want to give her our best - and I’m a bit of an over planner anyway - so I thought I’d ask those of you who have/have had both shelties and another breed/s your thoughts;
Is there anything unique about your sheltie compared to other breeds you have experience with?
