I finally got my first Echoing Hatred key. Don’t get me wrong, I like the concept. I enjoyed the Echoing Nightmares back in Diablo 3but I really don't understand the scaling logic here.
I found my first key when I was already deep into T12. Why does a super rare endgame activity force me to start at "Normal" difficulty? I’m essentially spending several minutes mindlessly one-shotting monsters that are way below me before there is even a hint of a challenge. It feels like a waste of time.
In my opinion, it would have been much better if:
Keys dropped earlier: Let them drop during the leveling process or on lower Torment tiers. It would be a fun way to test your build’s limits as you grow. If a player manages to reach T1 or T2 before hitting max level, they should be able to jump in and get rewarded for that achievement.
Dynamic Starting Difficulty: If I enter the arena on T12, the activity should start at a baseline challenge relative to that tier. As it stands, it’s just a "wait-to-actually-play" simulator for the first few minutes.
I know that the system had the same flaw in D3 but the ramp up was way faster.
