How do BigLaw actually view an aerospace engineering degree for IP litigation?
I’m currently a 2L at a T14 school and have an offer from a BigLaw IP litigation group. I was around top 30% when I accepted the offer, but my grades have slipped since then and I’m now below median.
I’m wondering how much my B.S. in aerospace engineering would help if I were no-offered after my summer and had to go through 3L recruiting. Would a bottom T14 student with an aerospace engineering degree still be reasonably employable for IP litigation?
I’ve heard that aerospace engineering is less favored than EE/CS for IP work, but I’m not sure how big that gap is.
Thank you!
