Hi everyone,

I’ve been looking into thermal pastes lately and came across the ID-Cooling Frost X55. The claimed thermal conductivity is 16.2 W/m·K, which looks very impressive on paper, especially considering its price point compared to top-tier "premium" brands.

Has anyone here used it or is currently using it?

I’m particularly curious about:

  1. Consistency: Is it thick like TFX or more spreadable like MX-4?
  2. Application: How easy is it to apply (spread method vs. pea/cross)?
  3. Longevity: Does it suffer from the "pump-out" effect over time, especially on hot CPUs?

I’m currently running an AMD 7800X3D and I’m always looking for ways to optimize thermals without overpaying for the name. Share your experience if you’ve tried this compound!

Thanks!
