I’ve been using the Bose QC45’s for the last couple of years until I unfortunately plugged them into what I thought was a normal charger - it melted them… I figured that I’d just buy the same headphones again but they were listed for £250-£300 everywhere and I just simply couldn’t afford to buy them at the time. Anyways, I decided to watch some videos on YouTube (trusted tech youtubers with millions of subscribers) comparing the high-end consumer headphones on the market. These videos included Bose, Sony, Beats and others. Multiple videos that I watched concluded that the Beats were not only the best for the retail price, but that they also had the best sound quality. As someone who’s owned quite a lot of high-end headphones (Bose and Sony) I can honestly say that these are the worst headphones that i’ve ever had. The Beats Studio Pro’s genuinely sound like a tin can when compared to the Bose QC45’s. There’s almost zero bass (I thought Beats were known for their heavy base?) and the depth of the sound is absolutely awful. They are also VERY uncomfortable to wear as the ear cushions are basically non existent (and very firm) to the point where the solid part of the headphones are resting against your ears. They are also ridiculously fragile as backed up by many posts in this sub - be very careful when taking them off and folding them away. I guess what i’m trying to say is that if you’re looking for some high-quality headphones with good sound quality, then PLEASE do not make the same mistake I did. Although I got these for half price, I genuinely feel ripped off and wish I had paid x2 the money for some new QC45’s. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
