So I’m an 12 year Army Vet. Had a great career going, master rated JM, PF, AA, and space badge( quad stacked). Deployed twice to combat zones with the 101st and 82nd. Did something stupid. PTSD was kicking my butt and I was drinking and got behind the wheel. Crashed my Vic on post and thank God no one was hurt( hit the curb and wheel fell off lol). Ended up fighting some MP’s later that night cause I fled the scene and they found me walking to my house hours later( who knows where I went ). Anyways, got out with a ch 14 OTH discharge. Didn’t want a CM under my belt and the possibility of a felony cause of fighting MP’s. I’m currently 100% P&T cause VA deemed my service was honorable which it pretty much was prior to this incident( no Ar15’s or punishments). Kept all my benefits to include Gi bill and Va home loan. Even kept my clearance which is a TS/Sci. Anyways, please don’t judge me. I’ve been through a lot and ultimately I’m blessed to be where I’m at. Gvt contractor in DC making six figures.
I was just wondering what’s the likelihood of getting my discharge upgraded to general. Eventually I want to return to the service or be a federal civilian and finish my 20. Appreciate yall 🙏🏼.
