I jumped to linux angrily after microslop blah blah blah, you already know. I knew it had linux support but I had no idea how AWFUL it was when i switched. No codec support so you have to ffmpeg all footage to be the right codecs and if you have an amd video card, might as well just get kdenlive... unless... Its crazy but I actually got it to work after force installing it (the libraries don't work on ubuntu distros since it was made on rocky os). I have an rx 7900 gre which isn't a supported architecture for the linux version so I slapped in an old rtx 3060 since my mobo supports 2 gpus, downloaded opencl stuff, and ran resolve with a shell script that doesn't allow it to address my rx 7900 gre (making it default to my rtx 3060). Boom, it actually works on my build. Def the jankest thing ever but once I'm in, it works great.
