Today at 2:55pm I was driving down Akenhead road. A medium sized young dog (maybe a shepherd mix?) was all over the road. I stopped and went to the house he was in front of. This wasn't their dog but the man that came out darted to the road to make sure the dog was safe and take it home.
If the dog owners see this - escapes are understandable enough but if you're letting your dog out in your yard, your dog is not street smart and you either need to fence your yard or leash your dog.
And to the guy who went into the road to bring the dog home, we appreciated your fast reaction in ensuring the dog didn't get hit!
