So the moment FSD supervised became available in The Netherlands a few weeks back I immediately purchased the full upgrade. Had Enhanced Autopilot prior. The experience has been quite astonishing to say the least when compared to a system (like Enhanced Autopilot) that was limited by rules and regulations.
The only big negative I have is parking or starting a drive from park. While on FSD this seems like a regression when compared to the manually engaged Autopark feature (obviously parking only). It’s somehow way more jerky, cautious and really really slow…
I saw someone mentioning on Reddit that re-calibrating the cameras and DAS from service mode enhanced their FSD experience. So I did the same to try it out.
The thing is this, while parking definitely still feels jerky, cautious and way too slow, when driving, my car now keeps hugging the right shoulder of a lane instead of keeping itself in the center or maybe to the right of the center of the lane it’s driving in. When driving past parked cars for example it almost brushes the mirrors of said parked cars because it sticks to the right so much… this also happens when there’s absolutely no passing traffic on the opposite lane.
My questions:
- Is this normal?
- Is it possible to somehow calibrate this behavior?
- Might resetting only DAS or the cameras or both once again mitigate this behavior?
In short:
I reset my DAS and calibrated my cameras from service mode and now my car keeps hugging the right shoulder uncomfortably when driving instead of keeping itself more centered in a lane. How to fix this?
