Back again with another iteration of the same age-old problem: my feet are too wide for Bauer skates. Tried on size 9 fit 3 Shadows, felt pretty good. Had to order online for my actual size 8.5 fit 3 (I’m closer to an 8.25 in reality) and the toe box is torture. It’s not even worth baking them. I currently wear some old pro stock 8.25 extra wide hyperlites that fit pretty well, but they were custom made for a pro. They’re falling apart and I need an upgrade.
I’m starting to accept that I just have to move on from Bauer unless I’m willing to fork over the $1,600 for customs, but I’m not even sure that will solve the toe box issue.
Does anyone have recommendations for higher-end skates that actually fit very wide, high volume feet comfortably? Are True customs my only option at this point?
