Howdy everyone! Hope you are having a great weekend.

Question and parameters are below. Also open to any design suggestions as im a total noob at all this. Juat want a pretty home for my weirdly feisty Beta named Peepers.

Im new to aquariums and im setting up a new aquarium for my Beta Fish. It's my first attempt at a planted tank. I have been letting the tank cycle for a little over a week now and noticed this fuzzy stuff on my driftwood and would like to know that it is, if it is harmful and if I need to address it and how if it is prudent to do so.

1st photo is of the tank. Next 2 photos are of the "fuzz" on the driftwood.

More detailed information regarding the tank and setup:

Substrates are Fluval Bio Stratum capped with white sand. Both rinsed as per instructions.

Water is RO from a system I installed dedicated to providing water just for the tank. I have re-mineralized the water using FRITZ R/O Recharge.

Filter is an Oase Filtosmart 100 with the little heater element.

Temps are about 78 degrees F. (25.5 C)

I have been adding Seachem Stability as per instructions for the last 8 days.

Water parameters are as follows:

PH: 7.2 (Tested with a calibrated Aspera Instruments PC60 Probe)

GH: 50-80ppm tested with an API GH/KH test kit

KH: 60-80ppm

The following measured with an API Freshwater Master Test kit.

Ammonia: between 0 and 0.25ppm

Nitrite No2-: 0ppm

Nitrate No3-: between 0 and 5ppm. It is more than zero but definitely less than 5ppm.
