I have a quick question:

If my account is currently banned for Smurfing and I have already verified it with my Personal ID, what happens after the 6-month wait?

If I deactivate the banned account and wait the full 6 months, will I be allowed to use that same Personal ID to verify my new, official account? Or is my ID permanently blocked from the platform because of the smurf ban?

I am writing to seek clarity on a specific rule, as I have received conflicting information from the support tickets.

My situation: I had a long-time account (since 2020) verified with my Personal ID. In September 2025, I decided to close it (self-deletion). Unfortunately, I made a mistake and played on a friend’s account (smurfing) and later created a new account in March 2026, which was recently banned for "Smurfing"

I fully accept responsibility for this mistake. I should have waited 6 months before returning.

The Conflict: I contacted support to clarify my future on the platform.

• The Ban Appeal team told me that my 2020 account is still ACTIVE and can be used.
• The Account Recovery team told me that my 2020 account is PERMANENTLY DELETED.

My questions for the Reddit admins:

1. If I stop playing on FACEIT entirely and remain inactive for the next 6 months, am I allowed to return and create a new, single account after that period?
2. Since my Personal ID was linked to my 2020 account and to the 2026 account that i got banned for Smurfing, will I be allowed to use it again for verification on a new account after the 6-month wait?

I want to do things the right way this time. I am ready to serve my 6-month "cool-down" period, but I need to know if I will be welcomed back or if my identity is permanently blacklisted.
