I tore several ligaments in my knee May of last year. After MRIs, my dr told me I’d need surgery. I asked if it could possibly heal without. They said not likely. Anyway, skip to now. I didn’t have surgery, but my knee is much better. It still twinges on occasion and I can’t sit on my knees with my bottom on my heels. Has anyone successfully managed to skate again with a torn knee ligament?

Do you have any recommendations for any knee protection? Special pads? Knee braces? Knee sleeve with pad over? I refuse surgery until it’s absolutely necessary. But watching all these videos of you all skating makes me miss it so much. I had just started skating again after 30yrs! Boo.

I will be skating outdoors because the rink nearby closed.
