Is it worth building an Android version, or should I focus on marketing iOS first?

I have an iOS app live right now, and I’m debating whether it’s worth spending the next few weeks/months building the Android version.

Part of me feels like Android could open up a bigger audience, but another part of me feels like I should spend that same time improving the iOS app and focusing on marketing, retention, and getting more users first.

For indie app devs who launched on iOS first, when did you know it was the right time to build Android? Did it actually move the needle, or did it just split your focus too early?

I built a coloring journal for couples

A few months ago, I kept thinking about how many couple photos just sit in our camera rolls forever.

First dates, random selfies, trips, cute screenshots, all those little moments that felt special at the time but eventually get buried under memes and grocery pictures.

So I built Lovla, a coloring journal for couples.

The idea is pretty simple: you turn your favorite photos into coloring pages and color them together. There’s also a shared doodle space where you can leave little drawings for each other.

I wanted it to feel less like a “relationship app” and more like a tiny shared ritual. Something you can do when you miss someone, when you’re long distance, or when you just want to do something together that isn’t scrolling or texting.

The hardest part has honestly been keeping it simple. It’s really easy to keep adding features, but the thing I care about most is whether it actually feels cute and calming to use with someone.

Would love feedback on the concept, onboarding, App Store page, pricing, or anything that feels confusing.

The core idea is still early, so honest feedback would help a lot.

Me (M29) and my partner (F27) colored this together and I can’t decide if the pink beard was genius or a crime.
